Jeong Seok-hyeon (class of `75, Mechanical Engineering), the CEO of Susan Group donated a billion won for the construction of the Mechanical Building for his alma mater. 

Alumnus Jeong Seok-hyeon graduated from Hanyang University's Department of Mechanical Engineering and established Seokwon Industries in 1983 to lead the production of Korean-made construction machine and was awarded the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit (2008), New Quality Award Innovation Grand Prize (2011), and  Hanyang Engineers Award (2014). Recently, other than Susan Industries conducts many plant establishment constructions such as petroleum-chemistry, cement, and iron, as a chairman of Soosan group with many sub-companies including Soosan ENS, Soosan Nutech, Soosan Heavy Industries, Soosan INT, and Soosan Hometech, he is now a leader of national key industries. 

In the meantime, at the delivery ceremony of the day, President Jeong Seok-hyeon of Susan Group, CEO Kim Byeong-hyeon of Susan Heavy Industries, President Kim Woo-seung, Associate Dean of Seo Tae-won of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Song Si-mon of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Director Whang Hee-joon of the Office of External Relations and Development took place.
