34 HYU departments listed in the overall rankings… 5th most in Korea

In the 2021 QS World University Rankings announced on March 4, Hanyang University ranked 51st to 100th in the Civil and Structural Engineering Field.

Seoul National University had the most names put in the rankings with 50 departments. This was followed by Yonsei University (45), Korea University (41), and Sungkyunkwan University (37). Hanyang University had the 5th most number with 34 departments. This is a small increase compared to the 28 department names in 2020. Last year, Hanyang University achieved great results by ranking 79th in the technology engineering field and 118th in the business·social sciences field.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom’s global university evaluation organization QS which annually reports rankings of the top 500 universities in five academic fields and 48 majors. Rankings from the 1st to 50th are individual but from the 51st are grouped in sections of 50.
